If you want an overdrive / boost pedal that makes you sound big without much of the "mid-hump" associated with pedals of this style, the EBS "The Drive" Pedal is for you. Works great to give your sound a volume boost. You can also use it as an extra tone shaper; tame bright humbuckers or fatten up single coils. It is a relatively low gain overdrive; so it's perfect when you need subtle overdrive for blues, jazz, and country, and also for boosting the front end of an overdriven amp for solos that cut through the mix.
EBS The Drive also works well with bass to give you that cranked tube amp overdrive sound used by classic rock legends, or also as a volume boost for solos and fills.
